Victoria Secret's is known for more flirty, girly scents than sexy complex fragrances.
This is why when Rapture Perfume for Women was launched in 1992 it came as a sexy surprise.
What does Victoria's Secret Rapture Perfume smell like?
Rapture is an Oriental Spicy fragrance with top notes of citruses and orange blossom.
It also consists of middle notes of:
- Freesia
- Jasmine
- Bulgarian rose
Base notes are:
- Amber
- Musk
- Vanilla
- Heliotrope
While there is a heavy dose of florals, they are more balanced with the amber and musk than in other Victoria's Secret fragrances.
This is definitely more of a grown-up, sensual fragrance perfect for a night out or a date.
Where to Buy Rapture Perfume
Rapture has been retired, relaunched, and retired and relaunched again. So getting your hands on a bottle can be tricky.
There are still some available for resale by third parties but you can't order it directly from VS.
Rapture Perfume Packaging & Bottle
About the packaging: one interesting thing to note is the original packaging in 1992 was a gold-encrusted heart, the relaunch was a streamlined modern-looking rectangle. Both are sprays.
It's hard to tell if the relaunch has been reformulated perhaps slightly but not enough to make a noticeable difference.
