CK partnered up with Coty, a global brand recognized for its contributions to fragrance, to introduce an all-new aquatic edition to the valued Eternity label. It’s marketed as confident, modern, and effortless. It has a bold aquatic freshness and the charm of a refined fragrance.
Packaging and Presentation
Calvin Klein is well known for its elegant, minimalistic packaging design and award-winning labels. Eternity Aqua’s packaging is no different. With a light blue carton matched with dark blueprint, its first impression carries all the presence of an ocean blue matched with an ocean sky.
Out of the box, the small bottle is a pleasant and transparent blue. Though the liquid itself is clear, the bottle gives it all the color of an aquatic experience. It’s matched with a rectangular, silver cap that is smoothed at the edges.
Although the bottle seems small, especially with the cap off, it has a surprisingly good distribution. It’s long and wide reach is perfect for any area on your body. It goes on the skin smooth and leaves no feeling at all. It leaves no irritation or mess, making it one of the most pleasurable to apply.
What does it smell like?
Right out of the bottle, Eternity Aqua is one of the most enjoyable fragrances I’ve ever had. It’s got a strong punch packed with cucumber, citrus, and lavender that all come at you at once.
At the same time, it’s got a solid woody base composed of sandalwood, cedar, and musk that all give it the extra kick. Combine these two sides and it makes an aquatic wonderland.
There are plenty of fragrances that market themselves as “aquatic”, but Eternity Aqua takes the name for itself by proving just what “aquatic” is for a fragrance. It’s strong citrus and lavender never truly wear off, making it a solid scent for the entirety of its lifespan.
While most of the ingredients are somewhat average for a men’s fragrance, the combination of all of them is what make the fragrance so unique. It’s no wonder that the scent can hold its own against the other powerhouses on the Eternity Line.
Notes
Top Notes: chilled cucumber, citrus cocktail, water lotus, drenched green leaves
Heart Notes: Szechuan pepper, lavender, white cedarwood
Base Notes: sandalwood, guaiac wood, patchouli, musk
Longevity
Eternity Aqua’s longevity is just above average for a men’s fragrance. I noticed it lasts for the entire day without any issues. The impressive part is that the fragrance manages to keep its unique scent for its entire span of the day. That’s what makes Eternity Aqua so noticeable and refreshing. Your day is filled with a wonderful flowing ocean water breeze.
Sillage
It’s a nice breeze as well. Some aquatic scents can be overwhelming. At the beginning of the spray, Eternity Aqua sure is strong, but it’s a lovely scent. After it’s initial spray settles, the scent keeps up a continual volume that is perfect for its fresh scent.
It’s enough to be enjoyed for the entire day, but not too much to become stale or overused. It’s got a great balance which is part of what makes it such a great overall scent.
When to Wear It
It’ll be no surprise that Eternity Aqua is a spring and summer based fragrance. The ocean breeze that the fragrance carries really determines that it’s a good scent for the warm months.
For the time of day, Eternity Aqua works awesome for any number of events. It’s an excellent scent for work, casual time, and social events. It’s amazing during the daytime and for night outings it can be a great choice. Eternity Aqua works to be an all-around fragrance to meet any kind of needs.
Who Should Buy It
Anyone who is a collector of unique scents, aquatic fragrance lover, or someone looking for a great all-around fragrance should look to pick this one up. Aquatic is one of the best of its kind on the market and it’s excellent for so many situations that it’s hard to pass it up.
