The essence of a dazzling, illuminated popstar is quintessentially encapsulated in the pretty little bottle of Ariana Grande Moonlight perfume.

Uniquely designed, there isn’t anything that screams candied maturity quite like the feminine singer’s potion of plums, marshmallows, peonies, and vanilla.
Who Makes it?
Ariana Grande Moonlight Perfume was initially released in 2017 by the American singer/actress Ariana Grande in a campaign to create an “illuminating” connection between her and her fans.
Ariana Grande is most notably a pop star known for her bubbly-toned music and vibrant pink color scheme.
Due to her cutesy-beauty aesthetic, she is a prominent figure in the makeup and cosmetic industry. She has released multiple different perfumes, including Moonlight.
Scent Notes
The Ariana Grande Moonlight perfume notes are composed of black currant and plum for the top, which invokes an initially sweet, slightly tart scent – and we must admit, it’s quite the rich, attention-grabbing sequence of smells.
As for the heart notes, they unveil a sugary dust fragrance with light floral overtones. This is achieved by the cumulative aromas of velvety marshmallows and peonies.
Finally, the perfume has a very potent base of black amber, sandalwood, and vanilla. These lingering notes perform a slightly nostalgic, rustic flavor – mostly leaving a lingering vanilla note behind.
It’s not too strong and generally pleasant on the nose for the last couple of hours.
Who Would Like it?
This Ariana Grande Moonlight perfume review believes that the perfume is perfect for a sensual young woman – likely in her twenties – who is simply exploring her way through adulthood.
This woman is trying to make an impression on the dating scene with this scent, and, ravishingly dressed, she does precisely that.
She finds that it doesn’t matter her shape or size, but her attempt to own her femininity through beauty and maturity that defines her. She seeks love, and attention, and identifies undeniably as an illuminating, alluring woman.
When to Wear it
The smell is sweet, feminine, and luxurious. As such, Ariana Grande Moonlight perfume is undeniably a fragrance beloved by spring.
The blooming aura of new beginnings in springtime perfectly compliments the saccharine invitation for a new love that the perfume provides.
And what better time in the time of spring to wear this scent than the earlier hours of the morning.
Imagine the rising sun being reflected off the dewdrops of blooming flora and walking down this radiant light with elegant femininity emitting from your very skin – truly poetry of fragrance.
Where to Wear it
As we’ve mentioned before, the scent is quite sweet and almost seductive in the way that it caresses the nose. We deduce that the best time to wear it would be on a romantic walk through the park or an outside fine-dining experience.
Admittedly, while its fragrance compliments nature, it still retains an aura of refinement and luxury and, as such, can be worn to many special events where the drinking of wine and champagne occurs. In this way, it’s sort of a double-purpose perfume.
Furthermore, since there is an Ariana Grande Moonlight perfume rollerball, it can be carried around wherever you go, which is something that should be considered since it doesn’t last all that long. We’ll talk more about that below, of course.
Packaging and Presentation
The packaging is dark, lit with lunar light, and modeled by Ariana Grande herself. It kind of looks like a pop star in the spotlight on a dim stage and gives off enchanting, fairy-like vibes.
Although we see it as a morning perfume, it seems to be marketed as a mysterious, intriguing, and deep fragrance (which would fit nighttime much better – something we’d respectfully have to disagree with).
Still, once the package is opened, it reveals a beautiful pastel purple disco ball that glimmers gently in the light. Alongside it is a large poof ball of purple fluff, which is soft to the touch. The bottle itself gives off a pastel aesthetic and looks like something Ariana Grande would have in her room.
It’s a nice design and is faithful to the artist’s image.
Personal Impressions
Immediately upon opening the bottle, we get a whiff of a pungent, fruity smell – something we both appreciate and can use a little less of. The tart, plum smell is nice and sweet but slightly too strong.
And when we say this, we don’t mean that it gives everyone in the room a headache; rather, it’s simply a bit overpowering compared to the notes.
That said, what we really like about this one is that it’s not sickeningly sweet. It’s pretty delicate overall and pleasantly complimentary to outdoor and indoor settings.
The marshmallow notes are definitely there as they give off a powdery plum smell once the perfume settles in, and there are hints of vanilla here and there (though not explicitly present every time).
We also notice that the perfume doesn’t last quite as long as other perfumes. It’s kind of inhibitory when you think of it in terms of longevity and strength, but we think what it lacks in here, it somewhat makes up for in smell.
Performance
Its performance is utterly average. Yes, the smell is appealing, but there isn’t anything particularly special about it otherwise.
It doesn’t last quite as long as you’d want it to, and the sillage, while there, isn’t anything remarkable.
This doesn’t mean that the performance is poor; instead, it’s just standard (maybe slightly below the quota). It works, so if you are a fan of the scent, then there isn’t any reason not to use it – just don’t expect it to last all day.
